벡터 연구소 (Vector Institute)로 알려진 러시아의 바이러스 및 생명 공학 연구소는 세계적인 유행병 뒤의 바이러스 치료제를 찾기 위해 경쟁사에서 Covid-19에 대한 여러 가지 백신 프로토 타입을 테스트하고 있습니다.

이번 주,“ 감염된 실험실 동물에서 개발 된 모든 백신 프로토 타입의 면역 원성 연구가 시작되었다” 고 금요일에 한 감시 기관인 Rospotrebnadzor는 말했다 .

미래 백신의 구성, 용량, 투여 경로는 [시험을 통해] 결정될 것이다. 과학자들은이 백신의 도입이 2020 년 4/4 분기에 가능할 것으로 기대합니다.

러시아 보건부의 인플루엔자 연구소 (Institute of Influenza)는 최종 제품 개발을위한 3 년의 시간표와 함께 프로토 타입 백신이 개발되기까지 4 개월에서 6 개월이 소요될 수 있다고 밝혔다.

지난 주에 Covid-19를 유행병으로 선언 한 세계 보건기구 (WHO)는 백신을 출시하는 데 12 개월에서 18 개월이 소요될 것으로 추정했으며, 초기 시험은 4 개월 이내에 시작되었습니다.

Russia’s research center of virology and biotechnology, known as the Vector Institute, is testing multiple different vaccine prototypes against Covid-19 in a race to find a cure for the virus behind a global pandemic.

This week, it “began immunogenicity studies in sensitive laboratory animals... of all developed vaccine prototypes,” said consumer watchdog agency Rospotrebnadzor in a statement on Friday.

The composition, dose, route of administration of the future vaccine will be determined [through the tests]. Scientists expect that the introduction of the vaccine will be possible in the fourth quarter of 2020.

The Russian Health Ministry's Research Institute of Influenza previously said a prototype vaccine could take between four and six months to develop, with a three-year timetable for the final product, but researchers at the institute suggest it could come much sooner.

The World Health Organization – which declared Covid-19 a pandemic last week – has estimated a 12 to 18 months timeframe to roll out a vaccine, with early trials starting within four months.

As of Friday, Russia has confirmed 199 cases of the coronavirus, with the total jumping by some 35 percent on the previous day. The country’s first death linked to the virus was announced on Thursday, but an autopsy later revealed that a 79-year-old woman with pre-existing health conditions had actually died of a blood clot.

Worldwide, Covid-19 is on track to hit 250,000 cases this week, killing over 9,800 people in scores of nations since the outbreak began in the Chinese city of Wuhan last December. While there is no vaccine and few effective treatments to date, more than 85,000 patients have recovered from the illness, many of them in China.
